Le BIFFF et le BIF Market, en partenariat avec l’ASA, l’ARRF, l’UPFF+ et Screen Brussels lancent la cinquième édition de la Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox.

Vous résidez en Belgique ou avez un ancrage belge, vous avez un projet de long métrage, un traitement ou simplement une idée de film fantastique ou surréaliste, de thriller, de fantasy, de SF, de comédie noire, d’horreur ou de polar ? Venez nous la présenter !

Vous pourrez peut-être gagner

• un prix de 1.000 € sous forme d’aide à l’écriture (accompagnement, consultations) de la part de la SABAM (Termes et conditions SABAM) 
• un prix de 17.500 € sous forme d’engagement au développement de la part de la RTBF (Termes et conditions RTBF) 

Comment procéder ?

Du 1er décembre 2023 au 5 février 2024, inscrivez votre projet (résumé de 500 mots et note d’intention de 250 mots) via le formulaire en ligne en cliquant sur le bouton ci-dessous “SUBMIT YOU PROJECT“

10 auteur.rice.s seront sélectionné.e.s sur base de ce synopsis et invité.e.s le 18 avril 2024 à pitcher leur projet à un panel de professionnel.le.s belges et internationaux.ales lors du prochain BIF Market.

Un Jury sera également présent au BIF Market, et remettra le prix de 1.000€ à son projet coup de cœur.

Les auteur.ice.s sélectionné.e.s seront informé.e.s de leur sélection le 14 février 2024. Afin de se préparer au mieux, Maxime Pistorio leur proposera une formation à l’art du pitch, avec un coaching personnalisé, sur deux journées entre le 11 et le 15 mars 2024.

Les 10 sélectionné.e.s recevront une accréditation au BIFMarket, pour organiser leurs rencontres avec les producteur.rice.s, agents et  distributeur.rice.s présent.e.s au Pitch et sur le marché.

La Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox 

Le Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox est un tremplin unique pour les auteur.ice.s.. Parmi les projets des éditions précédentes : Belladone de Maxime Pistorio (lauréat 2020, produit par Entre Chien et Loup), In Vivo (Maud Carpentier et Boris Tilquin, produit par Kwassa Films), et Fall (Steffen Geypens, produit par CAVIAR, bientôt à Ventana Sur / Blood Windows).

La dernière édition de la Pitchbox fut un grand succès, avec des projets passionnants :

BIFFF and the BIF Market, in partnership with ASA, ARRF, UPFF+ and Screen Brussels, launch the fifth edition of the Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox.

You’re a Belgian resident or you’re based in Belgium and you’ve got a script, a first draft or simply an incredible idea for a thriller, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, black comedy or genre-bending feature film? Let us know!

You might just win

• an award of 1.000€  for developing your script (coaching, consultations) by SABAM (SABAM Termes and conditions) 
• an award of 17.500€   for development commitment by RTBF (RTBF Terms and conditions) 

How to proceed?

Submit your project (a 500-word summary and a 250-word letter of intent) from December 1st 2023 until February 5th 2024 via the online form by clicking on the “SUBMIT YOU PROJECT” button just below that page.

Ten scriptwriters will be selected on the basis of this synopsis and invited to pitch their project in front of a Belgian and international jury on April 18th 2024 during the next BIF Market edition.

A jury will also be present during the BIF Market to hand over the 1.000€ award to their favorite project.

The selected scriptwriters will be informed of their selection on February 14th 2024. In order to prepare their pitching session, Maxime Pistorio will offer them a two-day training in the art of pitching, including personalized coaching, on March 11th and 15th 2024.

The 10 selected scriptwriters will also receive an accreditation to the BIF Market, which will enable them to organize meetings with producers, sales agents and distributors during the Pitchbox Session and the remaining days of the market.

The Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox

The Belgian Fantastic Pitchbox is a unique launchpad for scriptwriters. Some of the winning projects during the previous editions: Belladoneby Maxime Pistorio (winner 2020, produced by Entre Chien et Loup), In Vivo by Maud Carpentier and Boris Tilquin (produced by Kwassa Films) and Fall by Steffen Geypens (produced by CAVIAR). The latter will be presented at this year’s Ventana Sur / Blood Window market at Buenos Aires. 

The previous edition of the Pitchbox was a huge success, with many fascinating projects:
