Fantastic Workshop in Uruguay 2023
From November 28 to December 2, 2022, the BIF Market team proudly attended the 14th edition of Ventana Sur in Buenos Aires, the premier market for Latin American film and television. Co-organized by the Cannes Film Market and INCAA, this vibrant event returned to in-person networking, attracting around 3,000 participants, including over 250 buyers and sellers from across the globe, as well as representatives from major international platforms.
The event featured dynamic showcases like Blood Window, spotlighting Latin American genre films, Animation!, Las Maquinitas, and the new Tinta Oscura competition.
Our team had the privilege of engaging in enriching discussions during panels like “Global Co-Productions in Genre Films” and networking sessions that strengthened ties between Belgium and Latin America. Belgian projects like Megalomaniac by Karim Ouelhaj benefited from the international exposure provided by the Blood Window collaboration.
Ventana Sur 2022 reaffirmed its critical role in promoting co-production, financing, and global distribution for Latin American content—and solidified the BIF Market’s position as a key player in the genre film industry.
