The BIFFF and BIF Market at the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival 2024: Engaging with EuroGenre
From September 20 to 29, 2024, our team attended the 17th edition of the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival (FEFFS), a key event in the genre film calendar. Our primary focus was participating in the EuroGenre professional days, held from September 23 to 25 at the Cinéma Vox.
EuroGenre, inaugurated by FEFFS with support from the “Strasbourg European Capital” triennial contract’s Culture fund, aims to spotlight European genre filmmakers, encompassing fantasy, horror, science fiction, thrillers, and dark comedies. This platform fosters collaboration among directors, producers, and industry professionals, facilitating the development and promotion of innovative genre projects.
Our participation in EuroGenre provided invaluable opportunities to connect with emerging talents and explore potential collaborations for future editions of the BIFFF and BIF Market. Engaging in discussions and workshops on international co-production and the evolving landscape of genre cinema enriched our understanding and reinforced our commitment to supporting and promoting fantastic cinema.
