The BIF Market is proud to announce an exciting transformation for its renowned competition: the Work in Progress section is now The Hatching Raven. This change reflects the evolution of the Market as a nurturing space for innovative genre projects to take flight, highlighting our commitment to supporting bold, boundary-pushing visions in filmmaking.
The new name symbolizes growth, creativity, and the emergence of the extraordinary—a perfect metaphor for the genre films we champion.
Submissions Open Soon
From December 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, submissions for The Hatching Raven will be open. If you’re working on a groundbreaking genre project and looking to showcase your work on an international stage, this is your chance to shine.
Eligibility Requirements
- Feature Length: Submissions must be full-length feature films.
- Genre: Projects in thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, surrealism, or black/absurd comedy are welcome.
- Stages of Development:
- In Development: Early-stage concepts.
- Mid-Stage Development: Script completed and at least 20% of the budget secured.
- Post-Production: Near-completed films seeking final touches.
Selected projects must meet the submission requirements, including a producer’s presence onsite at the BIF Market (April 14–18, 2025), and all non-English projects must include English subtitles.
